ABS Computers has a series of portable PCs that can be taken away from the office or home and still have all the power and performance people need to handle your applications. With a 3.06GHz Pentium 4 processor and 512MB of RAM, these systems will perform well on any tasks you need them for. And if people need more memory in one or another of the ABS Computers, they can double that RAM to a gig for the bargain price of an extra $99.
Starting at just over $1,400, the low end version of the ABS Computers don’t shirk on the component list. There’s a 60GB 5400-rpm hard drive that gives you plenty of storage space for even large-sized video and multimedia files. People can speed up the system by making it a 7200-rpm drive for an additional $66, or make it larger (80GB but only 7200 rpm) for an extra $121.
There’s also a combination DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive on ABS Computers that lets people watch DVD movies on a long flight or burn your own audio and data CDs at respectable speeds (24X write and 12X rewrite).
Graphics are delivered to the large and bright 15-inch TFT screen on the ABS Computers, and the full-sized keyboard is comfortable to type on even for long periods of time.
Connectivity isn’t a problem with ABS Computers, since ABS Computers features both modem and network interface built in. ABS Computers include a PC Card wireless adapter, so you can take advantage of any wireless hot spots on your travels.
With a FireWire port and four USB 2.0 ports on ABS Computers, people will be able to hook the computer up to a wide variety of high-speed peripherals.
ABS Computers include Microsoft’s Works Suite 7.0 with the notebook, so people can bring your work along with them. If people need Office Small Business instead, people can add it on for $252 to basic ABS Computers. There’s also a laptop bag that ships with ABS Computers saving people an additional purchase cost.
